Business Analyst – Houston, TX

We are searching for an experienced Business Analyst with a focus on data visualization to join our team. The successful candidate should be proficient in AWS Quicksight or Power BI. Your primary responsibility will be translating complex data into user-friendly visuals, dashboards, and charts that enable our clients and stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. As a key actuator, you will directly interact with clients and stakeholders, hence proficiency in communicative efficiency is required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Using data visualization tools such as AWS Quicksight or Power BI to create insightful dashboards, visuals and charts.
2. Interacting directly with stakeholders, understanding their requirements, and communicating complex data in an easy-to-understand manner.
3. Analyzing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
4. Translating client needs into functional specifications for business intelligence (BI) tools.
5. Interpreting data and analysing results using statistical techniques.
6. Providing technical support to team members and build client relationships.

Qualifications:

1. A degree in Business Administration, Research, Information Systems or a related field
2. Demonstrable experience in creating visualizations using AWS QuickSight (preferred) or Power BI.
3. Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into user-friendly formats.
4. Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and provide insights that influence strategic direction.
5. Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of business intelligence applications.
6. Ability to keep up with industry and technology trends.
